The PACE Challenge

Children with disabilities have risen to their challenges. Can you do the same?

"Hi, I’m Greg Rusedski, on 1st November 2007 at Stoke Mandeville Stadium nearly 50 PACE children undertook personal challenges at the Children's Challenge including taking their first independent steps. I’ve met many of these children and seen first hand how dramatic progress is made in the warm, loving environment of PACE.

Currently about one in every 400 children in the UK is affected by cerebral palsy. Help PACE to reach more of these children... You can show your support today by taking on your own physical or mental challenge.

Please use the free Justgiving online fundraising service to create your very own fundraising page for your challenge.

Here are two simple ideas to get you thinking…
• If you’re into tennis set-up a ’longest rally’ competition, charge your friends £5 to enter; the winning pair take half the pot
• Memorize and recall without hesitation or repetition; names, dates or numbers such as monarchs of England since 1066 or Pi to 100 places!

Remember your challenge can be done at anytime. It can be personal, or as a team, physical or mental. Stretch your abilities just as the PACE children do everyday.

PS. PACE has exclusive places in the Berlin marathon, Royal Parks Foundation Half Marathon, London 10K and PACE to Edinburgh cycle 2009. More ready made challenges can be found at Doitforcharity.com
